Transparent day rates and what drives a fixed quote for pipeline work.
Pricing follows the consulting model: day rates for design and pairing, fixed fees for bounded audits, and quoted packages for multi-week ETL Pipeline Engagements. Figures below are indicative for Australian clients and exclude GST unless noted.
Pipeline Health Audit
From AUD 6,800 fixed
Ten business days of review and a written findings brief. Additional on-site days in Melbourne billed at the advisory day rate.
Advisory & design days
AUD 1,850 per day
Warehouse Load Design workshops, architecture reviews, and cutover planning. Half-days available for remote sessions at AUD 975.
Engineer Handover Pairing
AUD 240 per hour
Booked in half-day or full-day blocks. Minimum four hours per booking so pairing sessions are uninterrupted.
ETL Pipeline Engagement
Quoted after discovery
Typical engagements land between four and eight weeks. Quote factors include source count, backfill volume, weekend cutover needs, and whether historical failure logs must be reconstructed.
Estimate factors we ask about
- Number of distinct source systems and file or API formats
- Current warehouse platform and orchestration tool
- Required load window (overnight batch vs intradaily)
- Whether a departing engineer must transfer knowledge mid-engagement
- Preference for on-site Melbourne days vs fully remote
What we do not bill as
We do not sell monthly software subscriptions or seat licences. Travel within Melbourne metro for booked on-site days is included; interstate travel is agreed separately before the engagement starts.
