Refunds & Cancellations

Scope

These terms apply to consulting fees for RiverBase Software Advisory services such as Pipeline Health Audits, Warehouse Load Design, Engineer Handover Pairing, and ETL Pipeline Engagements. This site does not sell physical products, software licences, or subscription seats.

Eligibility

Refunds are considered when RiverBase cancels an engagement we cannot staff, when a prepaid package is unused within the agreed validity window for reasons we accept in writing, or when Australian Consumer Law requires a remedy. Completed advisory days and delivered audit briefs are generally non-refundable.

Timeframe to request

Submit refund requests within fourteen days of the invoice date for prepaid unused work, or within fourteen days of the event giving rise to the request (for example our cancellation). Email contact@workspace-riverbase.click with the invoice number and reason.

Full or partial refunds

• Full refund: prepaid fees for work not started when we cancel, or when a discovery call concludes we are not a fit and no statement of work was signed.
• Partial refund: prepaid multi-week engagements cancelled by the client after work began — unused remaining weeks may be refunded minus a planning fee of up to fifteen percent of the unused portion, unless the engagement agreement states otherwise.
• No refund: delivered audit findings briefs, completed design packs, and pairing hours already delivered.

Non-refundable items

Third-party costs approved in writing (for example interstate travel booked at your request), and hours already paired or workshops already held.

Refund process

1. Email contact@workspace-riverbase.click with “Refund request” in the subject.
2. We confirm eligibility within five business days.
3. Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within ten business days of approval.

Cancellation & rescheduling

Client-initiated cancellation of a booked advisory day with less than forty-eight hours’ notice may be charged at fifty percent of the day rate. Rescheduling with more than forty-eight hours’ notice is usually accommodated once per booking without fee.

Deposits

Where a deposit secures an ETL Pipeline Engagement start date, the deposit is applied to the final invoice. If the client cancels after the deposit is paid but before kickoff, the deposit is forfeited unless we rebook an equivalent engagement within ninety days.

No-shows

Failure to attend a scheduled workshop or pairing block without notice is billed as delivered time.

Work already started

Code, documents, and findings produced before cancellation remain subject to the engagement’s IP clauses. Fees for time already worked remain payable.
