RiverBase Software Advisory
ETL Pipeline Engagement
Our flagship consulting engagement for pipelines that must run on schedule.
Who this is for
Analytics and platform leads who own nightly or intradaily extracts into a warehouse or lakehouse, and who need outside programming help — not another licence — to stabilise or rebuild the movement of data.
Result you can expect
A documented pipeline with agreed source contracts, tested extract and transform jobs, staging validation, and a cutover plan your operations staff can execute without the original author on call.
Scope included
- Discovery workshop covering sources, schemas, load windows, and failure history
- Written pipeline design with ownership boundaries between vendor feeds and internal transforms
- Paired implementation of extract, transform, and load jobs in your existing stack
- Staging checks for schema drift, late arrivals, and row-count thresholds
- Cutover rehearsal and a runbook for the first thirty nights of production
Scope excluded
- Purchasing or hosting warehouse infrastructure
- Long-term staff augmentation beyond the agreed engagement window
- Business intelligence dashboard design (we stop at reliable curated tables)
Provider & process
RiverBase Software Advisory consultants lead the engagement. Work proceeds in stages: discovery, audit, build sprints, cutover. See Engagement stages for the full sequence.
Preparation
Share sample extracts, current job definitions, recent failure logs, and access for a read-only review of the warehouse schema before week one. Name a technical counterpart who can approve schema decisions within two business days.
Constraints
We work with established relational warehouses, object storage landing zones, and common orchestration schedulers. Greenfield product builds and multi-year platform programmes are outside this engagement.
Pricing basis
Quoted after discovery. Factors include number of source systems, volume of historical backfill, and whether weekend cutovers are required. See Rates for indicative day rates.
Next step
